Doomscore · Effective 30 September 2026
The short version: Doomscore counts the reels you scroll. It looks at your screen only after you start the counter, does all the analysis on your iPhone, and never records, stores or uploads what's on your screen. If you join Scroll Battle, only your handle and your daily numbers are shared — with you and the friends you add.
1. What happens on your iPhone
- Screen analysis. When you start the counter, iOS lets Doomscore's broadcast extension see your screen (you'll see the red recording indicator). Each frame is reduced in memory to motion data and a quick on-device text reading (for example the “Sponsored” label) to detect reel swipes, ads and repeats. Frames and text are discarded immediately. Nothing is saved, recorded or sent anywhere.
- What we store on your device: daily, hourly and per-app reel counts, time spent in reels, ads and rewatches skipped, sessions, your settings, and one-way (salted, hashed) fingerprints of reels seen today so they aren't counted twice. Fingerprints are deleted daily.
- You can export or delete this data anytime in Settings.
2. What we collect if you join Scroll Battle (optional)
- Account: a random account ID. With Sign in with Apple we don't ask Apple for your name or email. Quick start creates an anonymous account.
- Profile: the handle, display name, emoji, colour and daily cap you choose.
- Daily totals per app: number of reels, seconds watched, ads skipped. Never which reels, creators or content.
- Technical: a device credential (stored only as a hash) used to upload totals, and Live Activity push tokens used to update the counter in your Dynamic Island.
3. How it's used and who sees it
- Only to run the leaderboard, sync your totals and update your live counter.
- Your profile and totals are visible to you and to friends you've connected with through an invite. Nobody else.
- No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no data sales, no third-party analytics.
4. Service providers
- Supabase hosts the database and sign-in for Scroll Battle.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple and the push service that updates Live Activities.
5. Keeping and deleting your data
- Scroll Battle data is kept while your account exists.
- Settings → battle account → delete account permanently deletes your account and everything linked to it from our servers.
- Settings → reset all local data wipes what's stored on your iPhone.
6. Children
Doomscore isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
